Japanese Car Nationals - Lakeside Raceway Brisbane 26th September 2010 Well, what a great event on Sunday the 26th for all the Japanese car enthusiasts in Brisbane! The pattern of rain every day during the week managed to hold off for a great fine day with over 150 well prepared Japanese stabled cars entering the Show and Shine at the old Lakeside raceway. A further 40 cars performed timed sprints around the track during the morning which was a great spectacle. After judging at about 1:00pm the Show and Shine entrants were allowed onto the track for some parade laps. After a Parade lap or two our Bellett squadron saw the adrenalin kick in and things become a bit more competitive... just to get better trackside photos you know. Anyway, the Bellett turnout was great and all were entered in the 1960's Restored category: Entrant Car Award Condition Lindsay Kahler Green PR91 GT Restored 2008 Greg Moller Red PR91 GT Best exterior Restored 1992 & 2010 Gerry Mann Silver PR91 GT 1960's Peoples Choice ex Peter Lyons car restored some years ago. Lewis Bolton Silver PR90 GT Restored 1992 Alan Kyte Dark Blue 1965 Wasp Restored Sept 2010 Liz Tremboth Green 1965 Wasp Restored July 2010 Geoff Moller Teal PR91 GT Restored Sept 2010, some engine problems Thanks to Ray Fergusons effort and Queensland Raceways support as the event mix went down very well with the crowd and is already booked again for next year. A great Bellett event. Lewis Bolton
